As a follow up on support case TS001752834, we would very much appreciate that you would look into modifying the behavior of the Create Content Portlet (used in Create Content dialog in the “page builder”).
Create Content lists all available Authoring Templates on the current Virtual Portal. If an Authoring Template is configured with a hidden name field (auto generated name), it does not work with in the Create Content dialog – the create button is inactive. The same authoring template works seamlessly in the WCM Authoring portlet – where the name of the created content will get an auto-generated name.
It should be possible to use Authoring Templates with hidden name fields in the Create Content portlet as well.
If it for some reason is not possible for you to allow Authoring Templates with hidden names to be used in the Create Content dialog – they should not be listed in the list of available Authoring Templates (it would be more user friendly only to show valid Authoring Templates in the list).
How will this idea be used?
Our customers have Authoring Templates configured with hidden name fields and it is not user friendly that they do not work in the page builder (Create Content Portlet) – only in WCM Authoring Portlet.
