    This is fine for WCM pre-rendered sites. I'm talking about managed pages portal sites.

    The 2nd option you talked about the sitemap portlet, generates a page not a sitemap.xml file which is the required for crawlers like google, bing, etc.

    We have the same need. We have about 6 sites on WebSphere Portal and about google steps we need to put sitemap.xml under each managed page. Example: /wps/portal/colombia. We can't do this.
