Our business owners want the option to display our reporting data using statistical breakdowns. percentiles (75 percentile, 90 percentile, or their choice). They also want to display standard deviation (1, 2, 3, etc deviations). They're looking for a similar format that is available by our Web Analytics team.
How will this idea be used?
We display page load times for different pages on our site. This is typically displayed as the average time, converted from milliseconds to seconds. Our business owners want to display this data by AVG and include a standard deviation breakdown (i.e. AVG, -1 SD, +1 SD, -2 SD, +2SD, etc.). They also want to display the data as AVG and Percentile. (i.e. AVG and 75th percentile, 90th percentile, multiple choices) Ideally, the percentile could be their choice. This could then be broken down by other dimensions (i.e. platform, device type, browser, location, etc.)
Ideally, this functionality wouldn't be limited to page loads but could be used on any types of reporting.
