TestConn.exe was created to test connectivity for TealeafCaptureSocket.exe, as a little Windows tool. You CAN feed it values for other types of ports of Tealeaf services, but it usually times out as it always expects a Tealeaf Pipeline service response.
I'd suggest expanding this to a very versatile tool AND a connectivity health check tool for the TMS system. Expand TestConn.exe so it can:
How will this idea be used?
You can tie this into TMS so it could trigger once a service is detected for having a problem, and it can check that machine for connectivity, if all green. TestConn would run through the nodes it needs to connect, and TMS can check it from the TMS server side. If both match up, then all connections are green. You could run a "Connectivity Check" from TMS command.
These are already kind of there in Portal Administration -> Servers, but its very old and limited, and needs a revamp.
